About me
About myself & my experience
What led me to my interest in Intercultural dynamics? I am originally from San Francisco, CA and grew up bi-continentally between there and Hong Kong. After finishing my university studies in Michigan, which was an interesting Midwestern cultural experience, I moved to New York City and called it home forever. Long before Craigslist or Airbnb about 2 decades ago, I started swapping flats with Europeans in the summers. Then, I took advantage of the time I worked in Hong Kong and explored more of Asia for 3 years. I've also spent time volunteering in Jamaica. Every time I left a village, city or country, I understood a little more about myself through cultural humility. What does that mean? As a Bi-cultural Asian-American woman, I've had to juggle or even prove my roots, identities and cultures most of my life. By immersing myself into a culture other than my own, it was easier for me to embrace whatever came my way. I learned that, most of the time, people are kind and curious. I believe that my life experience plays a large role in my work and I've seen positive outcomes with my international clientele of all ages and diverse professional backgrounds for the past two decades. I look forward to meeting you and working with you!My photos
